Today Honda announced that they are looking for 500 voluntary redundancies due to the expectation of lower sales
The same Honda workers who took a 5% pay cut last year in order to avoid redundancies 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Yep. Thats around a 15% -20% cut in the workforce.
Earlier this year they cut out a lot of contract workers. Now its the permanent employees. The hope was that the transfer of Jazz production from Japan would stabilise the plant. Seems like this isn't a great hope in the short term.

Must have hit a nerve. I apologise
Graham, I bow to your skills, you're amazing. I missed this one off my list; the old "when all else fails, use the passive aggressive ploy". This is where the debater does the internet equivalent of holding his hands up and saying 'woa! calm down, old son, no need to get violent' to someone who is perfectly un-annoyed and quite placid, making them look, to the casual observer, that they're losing control of their temper.
You're a legend Graham, an absolute legend. I could watch you in action all day long, well often I do as I wade through all the reams of arguments in threads where you discombobulate your foes with your faux thickness and tangeant creating. Brilliant.
I'm your biggest fan, Graham. You're the best!"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -

I'm sure it will be quite boring for you to analyse my posts Graham, I don't tend to argue with anyone (at least not now I've seen through your game
). Mind you, if you actually want to read posts about House Prices, The Economy and the Recession (heaven forbid ) then you won't go far wrong as I rarely venture off topic these days (except of course to congratulate you for your outstanding thread-wrecking, argument-causing and confusion-creating skills

I blocked Graham_Devon about 4 months ago. Best move I ever made. It is the very best way to stop yourself from having to wade through his eternal discombobulation. Improved this forum ten fold.Harry_Powell wrote: »You're a legend Graham, an absolute legend.
