I can give you costings for fabrics no problem. All my clients get what I get the fabric for. I have several suppliers who don't sell to the general public so I get the silks at wholesale prices. So, my customers do too.
I'm going to assume you are looking at silk?
Silk chiffon comes in at £4.99 a meter but I'll gladly look at the other fabrics and get back to you.
One thing you MUST remember. The picture is a one off design and subject to copyright. Also, because the designer has the pattern, it is not available to the public so one would have to make the dress on a visual basis only. It cannot be copied due to law but this does not mean you will lose the "vision" of what you want. Having a front image only enables the dressmaker to use an appropriate style so this could be vastly different from the original design.
On the plus side, you get a one off totally unique to you.

I have lots of pictures of it, but only put the one up for people to get the idea of what design i was talking about. if you pm me your email address then i can send you the other images which will enable you to get a better idea of it :D it'd be lovely of you to be able to give me an idea on how much it'd cost me, it'd be nice to keep the money in this country after all

Seebee, is yours a Candy Anthony? Love that dress. You have a great deal on it. One i've done came in around the same price using pure silk and with the full petticoat!

    Hi Linda

The dress is by Stephanie James - though I did look at Candy Anthony too. Not having an exact copy as that would be naughty  Using it as inspiration though. I have gone for a latte coloured duchess satin underneath (hubby to be's suit is dark brown). For the lace I wanted something heavy and detailed - didn't think I would be able to afford it, but was extremely lucky with an ebay auction and managing to get hold of 10 metres of alencon lace for a fraction of the prices I had been quoted! Only need 5, so should be able to make my money back by selling on the surplus :T

Agree that you need to "vet" your dressmaker - would never have dreamt of paying someone to do something as important as making my wedding dress without checking them out first. I did loads of research on the internet, had a meeting to discuss my needs, looked at examples of her work in the flesh (not just the lovely pics on the internet), sat and drew up ideas, discussed fabric and prices all before engaging her services.

Going to try on my toile on Friday :j
