Hi
I have been with talk talk for 18 months and am now out of contract. I was on the free anytime national and local calls package with 8 meg broadband and 4 meg download at about 20.99 per month. I always went over the download limit and usually ended up with a bill of £25 permonth.
Talk talk have been on the phone pestering me to renew and will give me 2 months half price over the length of an 18 month contract, with line rental at £11.25 and call/broadband package at £6.99. I've read the MSE report on phones and it seems to me I would save more money by renewing thorugh quidco and get a better package with bigger download limit - in fact in would work out £15.27 per month.
My question is am I right and can I go through quidco as I am already with talktalk?
Or is there a better deal?
Thanks in advance MSErs!

Are you definitely on a TT LLU exchange? Essentials is only available on these exchanges.
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php
Wouldn't be the first time TT have signed people up for Essentials and then charged them the non-LLU rate.
Quidco would only be available for new sign ups, not for upgrades.
Have a look at your other LLU options on samknows, though Essentials is likely to be the cheapest (£6.49).
Bear in mind that Essentials only gives you Unltd W&E calls, not Anytime calls, which will cost another fiver. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Yeah it is LLU for talktalk - I joined when it came on line. No quidco for existing customer? That makes it £19.41 pewr month. Anytime local calls are included though aren't they?
Will go back to the MSE phone report and take another look but I still think Talktalk is gonna be the way - only them HAVE UNBUNDLED AT MY LOCAL EXCHANGE:(

Where do you get £19.41 from? Essentials is £6.49, line rental £11.25. Total £17.74. Anytime adds £4 (not £5 as I said earlier). Anytime locals calls are included but not automatically, you have to select them in your online account. No free lunch, and no free laptop
