hotel booking gonr wrong

Need a bit of advice, booked 3 rooms for 2 night stay online with credit card, almost right away realised booked wrong month, little drop down box must have moved, no problem I think, so I call the agent up told me no problem we shall cancel that and rebook, but being told its 100% cancellation, contacted my credit card for a disputed transaction, got letter back saying sorry nothing we can do but for me to seek trading standards advice?, the total cost is £380.00 any ideas how i can dispute this any further, stressing me out, so any ideas be grateful for.

  • Which hotel chain is it with? What tarrif did you book? What 'agent' did you book through? Why didn't you book direct?!

In general it's your responsibilty to make sure that the booking is correct before you submit it. I've made mistakes of a similar nature myself on more than one occasion! Although not amounting to £380.
  • Alpha Rooms, trouble is they have 10% cancellation fees if within 30 days, but i booked incorrectly for the next day which has 100%, am I stuffed?

Incidently they have refuse my quidco fees on it also:money:

Why? You made a booking and paid the money? Is it because you don't intend to stay?
  • They say I cancelled, so not due cashback, but they still got the full payment £378.00 as payment even with rooms not being used, canny belive companies can get away with genuine mistakes and within minutes of notice I get charged in full, looks like a long fight then eh?:money:

Can't you move the date of whatever it is in the next month, then still use the rooms?

If they're refusing to let you have a refund, then just do your best to use the rooms.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
