Help please - SNAD or item not received?

I won an adaptor/charger for a laptop on ebay.

I received what looked like a charger for an ipod.

I sent an email to the seller who asked me to email them photos of the item received plus the envelope - which I did.

They then apologised for the error. Told me to keep the ipod charger "for my inconvenience" and said the correct charger would be sent the following day.

I haven't received it and they are now not responding to emails.

I want to start a dispue but should it be a SNAD or item not recieved?

Thanks for any advice.

Well since seller has 'gifted' you the item and promised that the correct item would be sent I wonder if an item not received claim would actually be appropriate? The current charger was a gift, the promised correct one has not been received..am I being fair though I wonder?

  • That's my dilemma Soolin.

Do I accept the wrong item as a gift? Or as an item not as described?

    HHmmmmm

I'd go with item not received. If you file a SNAD dispute won't paypal ask you to input tracking information for the returned item?

Obviously you might have returned it by a trackable method so ignore me lol.
