Computer beeps whilst running

Hi, wonder if anyone can throw any light on this for me. My pc starts fine, works well with no problems and is not overheating. I have cleaned it inside and use a temperature monitoring program.
However it beeps randomly, sometimes 2,3 or 5 beeps but it keeps on running. I have used a memory tester program which found no problems. I have googled the beep codes, it has ami bios, but apparently they only apply to startup beeps?
These are the specs.
Mainboard : Asus P5LD2-SE
Chipset : Intel i945G/GZ
Processor : Intel Pentium 4 550 @ 3400 MHz
Physical Memory : 3072 MB (3 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM )
Video Card : Radeon X1950 Pro
Hard Disk : SAMSUNG (320 GB)
DVD-Rom Drive : TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203D ATA Device
Monitor Type : Philips Philips 170B - 17 inches
Network Card : Realtek Semiconductor RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC
Operating System : Windows Vista (TM) Home Basic Home Edition 6.00.6002 Service Pack 2
DirectX : Version 10.00
Windows Performance Index : 4.4
Any ideas please.

best start at the beginning.....
1. open my computer, right-click on HDD, Properties, Disk Cleanup.
2. Download Malwarebytes, update and full scan, delete all it finds and post the log back on here.
http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
3. Download HiJack This, do a scan and save a logfile, and post the log back up here (do not attempt to Fix anything in HJT without advice)
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
...and we'll take it from there......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Are you sure it's actually beeping? A lot of people mistake their harddrive for beeping.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5N6y_nTEdJkEverybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -
is it comming from the main sound output (ie external speakers/headphones) or internal BIOS speaker?
if the latter, how irresponsible would just unplugging the internal speaker be ?0 -
BIOS settings : Might be intermittent overheating, check temp monitor - not too low.
Fan speed monitoring alarm - increase min. settings.
Master Boot Record - something writing to it, when it's protected. Virus scan.0 -

yeah you're probably right. Reading up, BIOS beeps while running is often indicating 'something' is playing up at the hardware level.
Trying to isolate/swap out peripherials & components would be the systematic approach to tracking down the cause (start with non-essentials, disconnect scanner/printer, swap out keyboard/mouse if others are easily accessible, disconnect additional drives/non-essential hardware in turn to see what makes it go away).
is there 'anything' else unusual happening you've noticed?0 -
The beeps are from the BIOS. My printer is disconnected when not in use and I have no other non essential hardware. Nothing else unusual is happening.
I have the fans running constantly at maximum to keep the temperature as low as possible, prescott run hot anyway.
I have replaced my old mouse which made no difference but I don't have a spare keyboard to try.
This is the HJT log.
