'Long Life' Home Made Treats Recipes?

Hello! I'm after some recipies for some nice 'bakery' type bits that I could send our to some friends in the army... The thing is, it needs to be something that will keep well for quite a while? I've never sent a parcel before so I'm not sure how long they take to get to the lads at the other side.. My thoughts got stuck…

Thanks guys, I'll have a look at parkin, anzac biscs and ginger bread cookies too..

Based on a possible 6 week wait would the following keep that long (and in what wrapping? silver foil, greasproof, something else?):

Twinks Hob Nobs
Flap Jacks
Anzac Biscs
Ginger Bread
Fruit cake (booze or orange juice filled..)
Parkin

And oh my goodness, that 2kg weight is awful isn't it? I was told only 1.8kg but it's very easy to get to that weight very quickly, espcially when a copy of Nuts goes in etc!
