Selling Home HELP!!!

Those prices make me feel slightly sick. It's incredibly expensive. Your house is cheap compared to the national average but where I am you'd pay 1-1.25% of the total. I would have some more conversations with agents and try to find one cheaper. My experience of Halifax in the past is that they are more expensive - the Brand names always seem to be.
If £71,000 is the top price ever then I would market at £69,950 and hope to get somewhere close to that. A downstairs loo is not going to add that much - I'm guessing we're not talking about a large house here where it might be expected!
www.hips4u.co.uk cost £178 + VAT iirc, so I wouldn't dream of using your EA, regardless of deferred payment.
You do not have to use the EA recommendations for HIPs or solicitors.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

"Mhl valued it at 63,950 but was happy to put it on the market at 74,950"
What? Are they mad?0 -

Looks like it, they won't get a buyer unless its all cash. They are pricing themselves out of the market.
why don't they lay cheap laminate down and paint the walls magnolia, then they can doudble the price.
something tells me this won't sell especially where I live in West London where they are falling again. thanks property bee.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

I used Hip-save.co.uk and it only cost me £159 for the HIP. They had my mini HIP ready in 2 days so my house could go on the market. Agents make a fortune in commission by selling HIPs at a much higher price. Hip-save.co.uk keep you up to date with progress all the way through by sending emails to say when each part is complete. I was very impressed - highly recommended.0

You will see my reply about cheap HIPs but there is also an online estate agent my mate used called Savi.co.uk. They advertise on Rightmove like most agents but they don't charge stupid fees. ONLY 0.5%! So think about it, £100,000 house only costs you £500 and there are no catches. Rather than those good old high street agents charging 3 times as much. Again, highly recommended.0

Sorry Chris, but 2 posts 'recommending' 2 companies which are actually the same company as your first 2 posts since joining? Smells like a bit of self promotion to me.0 -
What is the best and cheapest Hip pack out there that also includes energy performance certificate? And is Savi any good to advertise with? Or would you go with a estate agent?0
