Karcher Pressure Washer - Ideal World price vs other sites?

IdealWorld.tv currently have an offer on a Karcher K2900m pressure washer with all the accessories for £130

But Clean Store Karcher K2.900m Deluxe with the accessories at £99

Are these the same machines, and other than the additional detergent (surely not worth £30) is the cleanstore one the best value.

We are looking for one to clean the cars, especially when they get the road salt on in the winter, and wash the patio, garden furniture etc. Don't want to spent a fortune (some are £300), but don't want a cheap one which will fail in a year or so. Also would like it to be compact and have storage for the accessories on board.

  • The newer sub £100 Karchers and not a patch on their older machines so pay you money and take your chance.

Would you class the K2.900 series as these then? Apparently according to the Ideal World spiel, you are getting £200+ worth of gear for the package price.

If not, what others would you recommend. We aren't going to be using it much, maybe 6-12 times a year, as I'd rather wash our big (expensive!) car by hand!
  • The ideal World package appears to be good. However most come with the two lances. Their patio cleaner is the smaller t-racer. Clean Store have offered 5 lites of cleaner but in tablet form.

Ideal World often add the cost of standard gear included by others and P&P in their deals, when most places do free P&P.

If you're not going to wash your main car why buy the washer? Because it appears to be a bargain?lol

amazon has that model for 115 quid with all the accessories.
they also have various other models for 100/200 quid. free delivery too.

Personally I much prefer Nilfisk alto pressure washers, better quality in my opinion..Theyre the worlds biggest manufacturer of pressure washers and vacuum cleaners.......

    Jeez I sound like a rep:D

Thanks all. Will have a look around as suggested and at the other brands. Always thought Karcher were good, but if they've started making cheaper products, I might avoid... we've ordered a few things from IW in the past, and delivery is usually within a week or so, but I doubt it was the best price. Looking to get something of decent quality too.

Because we have other cars to wash... I don't mind using a pressure washer on a cheaper everyday car, but not my pride and joy ;) Once you've washed a car carefully by hand, used a clay bar to remove summer debris, put a layer of polish on, buffed off, polished the windows, you'd not blast the paint with 100 bar of water! :p

Although probably would use it on the underside and wheels of all to remove salt in the winter, our alloys get caked, rather use water than vicious chemicals on them.

its probably safer to the paintwork, using the jet spray, rather than doing it by hand!

a wet sponge on a dry car will grind the grit into the paintwork. its just like using sandpaper!
    use the jetspray.
keep it a decent distance away if you need to reduce the force of it.
    Get some gorm.

As I said they were very good until they did things like replace brass fittings with plastic.
