If i buy a rail ticket to london (all stations) can I use this to take the tube, within zones 1 maybe?

Thats why I was asking, by all stations I assume it means you can use the ticket from any National Rail London station, but if there is only one route why woudl you bother buying a ticket to London (All Stations)? Unless it meant you could travel between all London National Rail stations by underground, which would make sense to me.

There is no such thing as London (All Stations) - you can't buy such a ticket.

There is a thing called London Terminals - you get such a ticket by default if the station you are starting from has a valid route (not including the underground) to more than one London station. For example from Birmingham you can (with the right ticket) travel to London Euston, Marylebone, or Paddington, and I think Waterloo and Victoria as well (via Reading/Clapham Junction).

You CAN get tickets including the tube, but they have a destination of Zone 1 or R12..56, not London . Edit - the latter is called a one day travelcard
