Have you seen his other items - more well used trainers!
  • I might have a rummage around the house for manky old trainers and see if anyone will buy mine. Maybe it's a guy thing though - I don't know if it would work with ladies' trainers!

maybe it's a foot fetish subculture we know nothing about - the holes may be of great importance ;+)

there was a guy selling his used see thru socks (with holes) for silly money a while ago - yuk

but I expect it's a nostalgia thing I used to have a pair of these when I was at school must admit felt a tear well in my eye when I saw them!

The person who bought them seems to have a thing for old shoes, of all sizes and styles! Could this be a market worth exploiting?

    haha,
believe it or not there are some trainers that were released back in the 80's and 90's that are worth a fortune today! (non chav style)

keep an eye out for reebok pumps and nike air jordans.

i sold a pair of mint condition genuine air jordan iv to some guy in canada (collector) for £500 !

i have a few pairs of these but the re-released retro versions i purchased some years ago which will go on ebay in the next year or two.

there are plenty of fakes though on ebay.

I'm well aware that certain vintage trainers in mint or very good condition are sought after, and I can understand that even though I think I think some of the prices can be silly, but I was still surprised to see that old pair in condition that a jumble sale wouldn't take, selling for £20!
