I had been with talk talk for ober 18 months when I got a call, " we are doing an offer, would you like (sure she said 12 months) and your 1st three months are half price"... OH YES...
So 14 months later i cancelled... talk talk said it was 18 months contract and their T&C state cancel earlier - £70k cancellation charge.
From that call I have had NO paperwork of my new contract and T&C's NOR did the lady over the phnoe state a cancellation fee !.
New contract new T&C but if I got nothing.... surely nothing stands...
I have fought for the last 3 months and I have now got to pay £10.00 for a recording of the message... not being funny, but who say that they might add or change 12 to 18 months on the tape.. wrip you off so they might do that....
They do 12 months and the lady might of made an error ? SO if no paperwork no verbal T&C cancelation info..... do I stand to not having to pay ?
AND if I get the tape and is 12 months, I do hope to claim by £10 charges and £10 for requesting the tape !.
Anyone else had any experience with TALK TALK !..... like x-factor.. ALL A CON !.... talktalk sponsors them if you didn't know.
Wait to hear off anyone

Hi
Having the same problem been with talk talk since july 2006, changed to new supplier at the end of september. Just got my last bill with contract breakage fee, didnt think I was under a contract still, told me I made a verbal contract in July 2008 which I thought was just a continution of supplier. The bills are in my husbands name and I have supposed to have renewed the contract, I was never allowed to discuss the account due to data protection so how can I make a new contract. Grrrrr:mad:
Wish you luck0 -
I too am going through the same issues with TT, sound so similar to what you are experiencing - I have NOTHING in writing and my bills are absolutely no different than they have been the last FIVE years.
A word of advice however is their attitude to pursuing the £70. Even though my case is in dispute the case had been passed to Roxburghe debt collection and then (when Roxburghe were so say told to hang fire by TALK TALK) I get a new request today for the money from Commercial Credit Services.
I am just glad that I have everything in writing and dates/ times documented as proof. Am also in touch with Consumer Direct and am emailing Watchdog as they recently featured TT and a report on BT using the same intimidating techniques to collect money.
What a nice welcome home after an emergency c-section, am only on here and the TALK TALK members forum as I need to sort this bloody mess out :mad::rolleyes::mad::rolleyes:.:jThanks to everyone who post competitions/freebies :jStarted comping June 2011 and wins/freebies so far are..JLS cd Tabasco sauce Toothpaste Simple eye corrector pen Armarni Sport Code Bio effect serum Charles Worthington hair straightening kit Lancome mascara Rimmel mascara £50 gift card Breakfast Cereal0
