How much is his head worth to you?

You can get a helmet for £30 (ebay?) or £300? Which do you think is better?

As another poster put it, he only has one head....

On that basis, maybe he should be reserving one of these @ £589?

Or how about the Schuberth S1, described by some as the "ultimate helmet" ?

If he hasn't done a CBT course yet, they will offer advice. He will have to do one of those courses before he is allowed on the road anyway.

and a £300 helmet can be just as bad as a £30 helmet, as proven in sharp independant tests the govenment commissioned.

what was the out come of those tests again? oh yes thats it a certain model of arai came out worse than a shark helmet.

Whats the best helmet to buy? the one that fits properly and is the right shape for your head, wether that be a £30 G-MAC or nitro or a £500 arai

As said above - fit is critical - go to a good dealer such as Hein Gericke and they will advise on fitment and he can try them on.

HJC always get good reports and are not too expensive.
