seeing they went bust it will be very hard to source spares unless you get one of ebay, then you have to find someone to swap the screen...

why repair it ??

the hard disk can be removed and the data salvaged from the old one

If you have content insurance and on your house, you can get this fixed on the insurance company! This happend to me once, and they upgraded me to the lasest model!

I agree with tomd84, check your home insurance.. you may end up with a better laptop,, (or) you could always attach a second monitor to the laptop.. i know you would not be able to use it "on the move", but it would cost a lot less than a replacement screen.. good luck
