moving from tiscali to another provider

Hi there,
can someone point me to a FAQ or similar on the best way to swap my linerental from tiscali to temporily to BT so that I can change my phone provider.

I've got a tiscali LLU service (originally BT). I want to swap to SKY but they cannot because I dont have a BT line. However I don't want to sign up to a 12 month contract with BT.

You cant move to BT temprarily they will require you to sign a 12 month contract.

Possible work around switch to Post Office Homephone who dont have a minimum term contract ,and then switch to Sky.

Sky will normally accept a transfer from PO Homephone,as it will be BT compatible line.

just checked with the Post Office - they want £107 connection charge! ouch.
