My Car Was Stolen?
Last week my car was stolen. It now looks like the insurance company are going to write the car off because of its age.
Does anyone have any hints or tips for dealing with the ins co, as I think I am going to get very little for the loss of my car.
I am fully comp insured with £100 excess.
I just want a car.

Research thoroughly what the value of your car is and print off as much as you can to support that. Don't accept their first offer but send them the information you have gathered in support of you reasons why you believe it is worth more with an indication of what you will accept. They should then meet you somewhere in between if your evidence is sound.0

Agree with Bossyboots comments.
You could go to your nearest friendly dealer and ask to look at their Glass's guide for the prices. You want to do this now before a new edition is released (monthly) as this will show a reduced value than the last one.
Hang on to any documentation you may have for your old car, especially bills, to show it was maintained properly.0 -
You can get all the info you need from the internet. We simply downloaded and printed off what we needed and sent it to the insurance company when we were disputed a settlement and they met our figure once they saw the paperwork.0
