  • Five pairs of slippers but the sheepskin ones I bought in Crete a decade ago are on their last legs (feet) now but I'm having trouble waving "goodbye" to them even though the boiled wool ones I replaced them with are just as snug and comfy.

One pair of slipper-socks and countless pairs of thermal ones which I wear in the slippers if I need to.

I do NOT plan on having cold tootsies in winter ever again

About 5 pairs of the little strechy pump ones from Peacocks to co-ordinate with pjs and one pair of fluffy boots:)

  • Never entered my head that people would have more than one pair of slippers....I'm obviously lacking in the style stakes as I have one pair. Bought cheap, replaced regularly when looking shabby, but certainly never matching anything I would wear with them!!!

I have one pair and replace as needed so you're not alone. Why would you need more than one pair?

So you can have clean ones while the others are in the wash, I dont wear socks with mine:) Also, just a personal thing but I do like to co-ordinate and at least look reasonable when slobbing at home, oh and I share with my dd:)

Must admit to never washing slippers, in fact don't even know if they can be? As for co-ordinating that would mean having to match clothes and nightwear which would be a nightmare so have ones that go with anything.

  • After a fortnight's work experience in a hospital Occupational Therapy department, I threw out everyone's slippers and got soft shoes/pump style trainers instead. They reckoned that most people they saw with terrible hip injuries, ankle fractures that wouldn't heal, etc, were either bikers or people who were wearing slippers at the time. The OT I went out with on house visits was quite adamant that they were no use, compared to a pair of fluffy socks and something like a pair of Skechers pumps.

One pair of Per Una white plush mule slippers with 3 pink Per Una hearts on front! Bought by DD as a Christmas pressie last year and to be replaced this Christmas. Go with everything. Throw them in the washing machine and dry them in no time on the rads. Hate having too much 'stuff' so 1 pair does me fine, if I got more I'd take them back or give themaway!!!

(Forgot I have a really cheap cotton waffle mules from asda in my wardrobe in case I go in hospital!! They're washable too!)

Hate slippers/hate socks/hate being bundled up in stuff/:sad: hate winter.......prefer to be walking round barefoot or in flip-flops, but it's just too cold, isn't it?!!!!
