Visit from family fund,what can I expect?

Hi,we have our very first visit tomorrow from the family fund,just wondered what we can expect eg questions and stuff.thanks x

Hi Kimberley,
The person will just go through the Family fund form that you filled out, and ask you about your childs diagnosis ( if any ) their needs etc. If you have a review letter from your consultant that lists the childs diagnosis, you may want to keep it to hand, just as back up so you don't miss anything out, its also useful for the person to read ( if you allow )
they MAYalso check the financial documents you sent with the application with you, so I would gather wage slips / benefit award notices just incase they ask. ( didn't ask when they came to me, but asked a friend for hers when she had the visit )
It really is nothing to worry about, the people are very nice and everybody who 1st applies gets this visit. When you apply next year you just fill out the application as normal ( you won't get a visit unless your circumstances regarding the childs health etc change dramaticly)
