Just a quick question for you all, i recently switched over to e-on and up until now iv been impressed by the amount of money im saving each week, I say up until now because iv just used £20 of gas in 6 days before this £20 would be lasting 14-16 days, now i know its recently got colder but my boiler hasnt been running any more than usual.
I do remember when i put the last £20 on, the meter flashed up with error, i pulled the card out, put it back in and all worked fine..
Is there any chance something is wrong here, surely my gas use shouldnt suddenly jump like that

Hi racingbrett,
Do you have any further details of the error message you were presented with? I believe that more info would be displayed; this might help me understand what went wrong with the meter.
The other option is to take the settings from the meter and give these to E.ON, the settings will allow us to see if the meter is set at the correct prices and check that there is no debt being collected.
If for any reason a debt has been added or the prices have increased on your meter this would account for the increase, the settings will clarify any discrepancies.
A fault is possible so contacting E.ON will be the best thing to do; an investigation will be carried out to establish if there are any faults or changes.
Any questions give me a shout.
