I usually allow about 3 hours for mince, potatoes and carrots. It says 4 hours for stewing steak in my slow cooker so it won't need as long as that. Mine is a Morphy Richards and has three settings. DD got one free with a catalogue and it cooks really fast but it only has two settings. I hope this helps.

    thanks

might put it on around 5 30 then to eat at 9...should i do it on high or low and how much electric do they use

    thanks

  • Hi everyone. Had a busy few days working and DH has been hogging the laptop doing a presentation in the evening so I've not been on. But....I have been flying today. I've done the bathroom completely and made a start on the bedroom too.

Anyone for a HHC at 1.30pm?
  • Afternoon! I managed to go out this morning, didn't do as much as I'd planned as was so shaky and scared but met up with my friend and we went to see a couple of people so that was good. We met one man who told us about his children - he raised them alone as his wife left him when the children were small. Now they are grown up and two of them have become millionaires because they run their own company. He said they brought their mum a house, one lives in a luxury flat and the other has his own place wiht a huge amount of land. This man was living in a council house on a grotty estate and they didn't even buy him his house. I thought that was disgusting after all he had done for them. He was a really nice man tho, and not upset with the sons, he was happy for them.

Am really tired now and going to have a nap once my ebay item ends in 12 mins - hoping more people will bid as it's on £1.99 so far. Glad it's got a bid tho, that's good!

Wil try to fly once I get up if I feel up to it

Diva nice to see you hope you have a better day today

PenPen hope your children are better soon

Embb great news on the building work

Welcome Jules and Lucifa and Kezlou

Wilf how are you? Not long now til your parents arrive!

Hugs Hellsbells, I’m in a similar position, unable to work and frustrated by our financial situation. I’ve started selling things on ebay now to try and raise some money
    Morning ladies,

Can I have your opinion on this please,

I have these cushions that say dry clean only, do you think they will be ok to do on a hand wash or wool wash.

Ok I was going to post a picture but I dont know how, anyone help?

    thanks TF x
What fabric are they? How are you?

The maintenance crew have arrived to fix the flat's windows - although we own the flat, we aren't responsible for the windows. Ours have had condensation/damp round them for ages and one of our neighbours had plastic put in the window recesses and that has done the trick. We asked for the same as we were constantly putting damp proof stuff on the window recesses. They have just started in the living room (thank goodness I didn't have to worry about any grot!) and are talking about replacing the window sills as well as they are bowed so the windows don't open properly. Luckily should still be able to get on with the list today.

Sounds like we need that stuff, our windows are covered in condensation and will be all winter based on the last two years. The outside looks pixelated!
