No flying done, other than the dailies, and I haven't even got a good excuse this time.

To top it all, I had two bits of bad news today. My MIL is still not well, despite the pacemaker op a few weeks ago. She went to the hospital today and was told that she is at serious risk of suffering a stroke, due to blood clots. Her next appointment is on Monday, and she may be prescribed warfarin. She's really worried and I think I'm going to get her a simple PAYG mobile, so she can contact someone if she is ill when out walking her dog.
Finally, my neighbour has spent the day in hospital with pains in her chest and in her arm. She's only in her early fourties, with two kids. Her dad died fairly young of a heart attack, so she's always been aware of the risk. Her husband said that she'd had tests all day and he wasn't sure yet whether she'd have to stay in overnight or even longer. We've been living next door to each other for 18 years and get on really well.
I'd really appreciate some positive flylady vibes for both.
Good night - I hope tomorrow will be a better day.

julie - you're up late!
I know and I'll probably regret it when DS gets up at 5.30 but I was just trying to get some bits done. I always get more done when DH isn't here - he tends to go to bed early too so I tend to go with him. I'll probably be dead on my feet tomorrow and go bed with the kids at 7.30!:DNST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Hiya
Thank you all so very very much for all of the support you've shown me. It really does help.
Quillion the poem you posted was absolutely beautiful, it had me in floods (although that's not taking much). The one I nearly managed to read at dad's funeral was called A Daddy's Love (by Leah Wells for you nosy ones to google
). I haven't had any roses appear, but as we arrived at the graveside for the funeral, a rainbow came out and it stopped raining. For anyone from the North East, we buried him at the woodland cemetery in Hexham where his parents are, and it's just the most beautiful, peaceful place.
I just don't know how to cope with this. My boyfriend was going to ask Dad for permission to propose at Christmas. My little brother is just 16. Dad was only 50. I miss him.:grouphug::lovethoug
I know it may be a bit raw just now to think about, but why not suggest you go to Dad's grave or special place and ask him?
Hope I am not speaking out of turn:A:kisses3:
Jinky's idea is great.
My Dad was 58 when he died suddenly in 2001 and i miss him so much. Like others have said it does get easier.
On the day of his funeral my sisters children set off some helium balloons when my dad was buried and they were a good distraction for them. They were not very old at the time. I like to go sit with my dad when i want to think. He helps me come to alot of descisions in his own way!!
Thank You for all your kind words regarding the poem. There are not many things that make me cry and this i have to admit was one of them. I cried twice yesterday once with the poem and once with something that is now posted on my facebook page!!
I wish we didn't have to have poems like that. I wish children would not be left without their parents and i Thank God every day that i have my son. Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0 -
