When is a room a kitchen for Part P?

If I knock through the dividing wall (it isn't structural) between my kitchen and dining room does the whole space become a kitchen for the purposes of Part P of the Bldg Regs?
Similarly is a bedroom with a handbasin classed as a bathroom?

IIRC a kichen diner extends 3 meters from the sink, and a kitchen is defined as having a sink and facilities for cooking food. A bathroom has to contain a bath or shower it might be worth your time looking on here as some of the part P stuff has been relaxed a bit. HereThe quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0
