Car sale scam

Just had a near miss so thought maybe others should know! I just saw a bargain not to be missed! A landrover Freelander valued at about £15,000 on sale in Autotrader.co.uk for £5000!!! I thought i would enquire even though already suspicious. Turns out the guy has moved to Spain, can't sell the car there because it's right hand drive and needs to sell asap. When questioned about the payment, he claims to have contacted Yahoo who will provide a service whereby they hold the funds until i have received the car, checked it over and decided to buy. I then contact Yahoo who release the funds to the seller. Yahoo do not offer any such service!!! The account details for "Yahoo's" bank is in the name of a Spaniard and the bank's address is also in Spain. DO NOT PAY MONEY INTO THAT ACCOUNT!! IT WILL BE LOST FOREVER!!

Common sense perhaps...?0

Sadly some people do fall for it. Otherwise they wouldn't keep trying. While I kind of agree with the sentiments I am sure comments about common sense do not help those who have fallen for it. Luckily the OP realised before handing over any cash!0
