Hi just wondering if anyone could advise me on respray costs.
Iam trying to weigh up if it would be economical to repsray my freelander which is nearly 10 yrs old and get a few more years out of her or whether to part with some more cash and trade her in for a newer model.

Have no idea how much a respray would be but suspecting it would be an easy job as the colour is just plain white and not metalic.

I guess a respray would be the cheaper option but does anyone know what the costs are?

Thanks
:D MOVE ALONG........ nothing to see here..!

does it really need a respray? is it starting to rust or would a good wash and polish do the same job?
a full respray would cost anything above £400

About 150 notes for a quick blow over, or 10x that for a decent job.

You get what you pay for. The quick blow over will probably reduce it's value rather than enhance it.

I suspect £400 would be mates rates from a sprayer. A proper bodyshop would charge £2k+ for a proper retail and parts off respray.

    It's just not worth it.

for the age of vehicle i would suspect the op would prefer parts to be masked off rather than taken off. to reduce cost and also the risk of breaking things as they come off.

a small backstreet bodyshop will do it for around £400 they arent very busy at the moment, well the ones i know feel the scrappage scheme is putting them under so would welcome any work at the moment.

best bet is for the op to call a few local to them.
