Hi there
There is a ban on these, a set date I believe for 2010 but I also believe they have stopped selling these type of policies now.

Single premiums are not being banned on all insurance policies. Indeed, in some cases it can be best advice and still suitable.
Its only PPI that single premium is bad and should never have been done as there was no justification.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Ok thanks, i am starting a new claim with welcome finance for my OH he took loan out in jan 09 with single premium, can i say that he was not asked the question if had any other insurances as he had 2 live policies with loans that we had paid off so this would have easily covered him for this loan with welcome. and also the fact it was a single premium charged to him.0 -
