Muisc videos - how to sell

Hi All
As a lurker for a while on the Forums, I decided to sign up and start posting.

I am looking for a bit of advice in my first posting. I have a lot (in excess of 100) of music videos that arent originals but taped compilations of various artists. i.e. 3 hours of the one artist in concerts, interviews, music programmes.

I am looking to dispose of these and wonder if anyone has any suggestions of what to do, as Ebay isnt perhaps the best place to sell them.

Comments

  • Legally you can only sell them as used blanks, and well frankly not many people want used blanks. If you really want rid of them your best bet may be to gift them on freecycle.
Did you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive :D

I can only echo the previous poster, you can't sell these at all and frankly I'd be surprised if you can even give them away.

It is a shame but videos are now virtually worthless, it broke my 'green' heart to have to dump loads last year.

  • I've listed some stuff like that a while back but one or two artists got pulled by ebay for copyright. It's probably more hassle than it's worth as they probably won't sell for that much and technically you're breaching copyright rules.

Nothing 'technically' about it. Pirating videos is an offence in the UK and the worse case scenario is a jail term.

    Thanks for everyone's replies.
Yes, I thought they wouldnt be worth selling, both from a cost and legal angle. Looks like they go to the loft to keep or to the local skip.
