Who's with me?
After eleven weeks of to-ing and fro-ing, haggling, listening to estate agents and solicitors. We are finaly here! Just had to take cash to my solicitors for "cleared funds" since they lost my HAND DELIVERED cheque but hey its all been worth it as long as I complete tomorrow.

 GOOD LUCK
We completed last friday. We have worked our backside off this last week, we now have a completely stripped house. Awaiting a plasterer to pay us a visit, before we can paint. So glad we both teach, its half term here. Off back to school for a rest :rotfl: :rotfl:
Really hope everything goes well, I still have a stupid FTB grin on my face, eventhough I am shattered.0 -
Yup we completed last Friday as well and are getting ready to move in on Tuesday. It was almost an anticlimax finally getting the keys because it was so stressfree after the rest of it all.
Good luck to all completing tomorrow. It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0 -
We were supposed to be completing today (2nd June) also but the stupid solicitor took our money for searches etc etc and did nothing about it for over a week grrr!!
They said we should be able to complete next week now.. gosh i hope so as i can't wait to get out of this hell hole of a flat with druggie neighbours lol.Lost lbs =

Good Luck to everyone that has completed and those who are completing this week. It's a hell of a strain and soo stressful!
We're in now 12 weeks and it was worth all the hassle.
An especially good luck and happy new home to all the FTB's...seems a long time ago for me but I've never forgotten that euphoric feeling when you get that first property. I was more giddy getting that tiny little 1 bedroom house (no room to swing a mouse never mind a cat) :T than a 4 bedroom years later.
Cheers to you all:beer:

We're starting with a 2 bedroom, not massive but it gets our foot on the ladder.. hopefully it won't be *too* long before we can move up the ladder though.Lost lbs =

Three bed semi for us. Went right down to the wire for me too. Called my solicitor and he was still waiting on a fax from the bank to clear a last minute issue. Called again at kunch time and strangley enough he was "just about to ring them and give them a right telling off", I was about to call again when he rang to say all was well and all I had to do was sit back and await a call asking us to collect our keys. Two hours later there I was with a grin like a right idiot. twelve weeks of hell behing me twenty five years to go. lol
Only one week till we get married!!!!0
