Bristan kitchen taps - is this normal?

On Friday we installed a new Bristan tap (the ceramic disc type) on our kitchen sink. I picked Bristan because they were recommended to me as a good make. However the tap we have bought (which is a deck type mixer) has two, what I think are faults.
Firstly the spout seems looser that it should be and wobbles slightly and secondly when you turn the taps off the water continues to come through, slower than when the are on, sometimes for up to 10 seconds and then it drips for up to 10 minutes.
Is this normal (I've never had a ceramic disc tap before so don't know how they perform) or do you think it is faulty?
I'd appreciate any advice.

I'm not a tap expert, but most taps with spouts have a double 'o' ring sealing mechanism where the spout enters the top of the tap body. This is usually secured by a grub screw at the back of the tap (sometimes concealed) - this sounds loose to me.
As to the dribbling? not normal at all. Bristan is a great make though, especially when they work properly and don't wobble0 -
I agree sounds like the grub screw. Can be a pain to get at and you'll probably be needing a small allen key which is normally supplied with the tap. As for the drip does the tap look like this?
All taps this shape b....y drip irrespective of make and Bristan are a very good tap. When you turn the water off quite a bit is left in the spout which is held up largely by surface tension at the spout. Gradually the surface tension breaks and it drips. There is very little you can do about it.

Hi Thanks for the replies. The tap is this one: http://www.1stopplumbing.co.uk/catalog/quest-deck-sink-mixer-p-16320.html?cPath=1_1500_1553
I have tried tightening the nut at the back of the tap but it is as tight as it can be and doesn't make a difference.0 -
