  • I never understand how people can buy clothes online. I have to try everything on and most stuff doesn't fit, if it fits it doesn't suit me.

I order most of my clothing online/try it on at leisure and if it doesn't fit take it back to store or send it back - I never seem to have time to try on instore and it is a bit of a nightmare with the kids in tow :D

I've ordered a coat as it's worth a gamble as for £7.50 it's not the end of the world if it doesn't fit.

Same here. But those with an asda nearby can always return it in store, so it's worth a go. My problem is I can't get to a store easily, and you do have to pay to ship back returns. I bought a couple of fleeces and a pair of joggers (which I'll just give to a charity shop if they don't suit me -- it cost 10 quid for the lot!). Now I'm wishing I bought the trench, too, as it's a bit longer (even though I don't know how well I'd like the fit). Can't see a way to amend my order from yesterday, so I'm hoping someone turns up a free shipping code that has no minimum spend!
  • If you go in on Asda - ladies clothing - coats and jackets have a look at the shortie trench macs, now reduced from £15 to £7.50
I bought the cream and red ones last week for £10 each and thought I had a bargain!! They are great and I've already worn them several times. I've just ordered one for me and one for my Daughter in the shocking pink!! (and the short coat in the tartan check!)
    Many thanks to OP
  • Nice one OP

Just ordered the funky check coat (and a few other things too!!) My DH won't be overly impressed!! More clothes hmmmmm ah well

Do those run true to size? By any chance, do you happen to have the black £15 wool-rich coat from last year this time? I got one of those in my normal size and it fit fine, and I wonder if the trench has a similar fit to that coat.

I'm just back from Asda, purple coat here lol. It was the last one in purple in my size. Fits lovely, thanks OP
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

I went to the George shop and there were 4 purple ones left and that was it, 3 size 10s and a size 14. bought the 14 then toddled off to asda where they had loads of black ones, so ended up swapping my purple one for a black one!

I bought my macs in a 12 and they are fine - I often have to go up to a 14 in M&S
