I've just got one for my neighbour. She needed serious cheering up after a fall and short hospital stay during the week. I know she has covetted a purple winter coat for years. She LOVES it BUT...I had to change from a size 20 t a 22.
I'm a small size 12, I had only a Tshirt on, and the size 12 was a neat fit, couldn't wear a jumper under it comfortably. If you are apple shaped you will almost certainly want a bigger size. The length comes down a little lower than I thought - well down your bottom. I did worry they might be a little 'short'. They FEEL very wool-rich too, very slightly 'hard' - should make them more hard-wearing than some cheaper jackets.
In store they are still £15.

Just ordered one of each of the coats (2 for me, one as present for SIL) and a jum for OH - £28.50 delivered, can't wait for them to arrive (just hope they fit alright as no Asda near me).

Hi, i'm 5' 8" and I got the purple one when it was full price, it sits further down than your waist, about half way down your bottom, i'm usually a size 12 but had to get a 14. HTH:)

Was going to get the purple coat but all the 14's have gone :-(

thankyou very much, i usually buy a 14 jacket for arm length so im thinking i might get 16 even though everything else i buy is 12 hahah sounds mad now ive written it lol
