they will run out by the middle of the day they always underestimate the amount they need for these offers .. you could always bring the free one home and freeze it for when the offer not on lol

Yum freezing a big mac for later, now that's what I call a laxative.

  • I don't see how anybody over the age of 18 could choose to eat McDonald's, it tastes vile and leaves you feeling ill. I had a McChicken Premiere + Chips in July, the first time I'd been in maybe 3-4 years, and boy did I feel bad afterwards.

That said, if you have a balanced diet and a regular exercise, a McDs every now and then will not kill you. If you're eating it 3 meals a day every day, you might have a bit of a problem.

I've never had one that tasted vile, I've never had one that made me feel sick. I've been visiting McDonalds at least once a month for over twenty years

Admittedly I rarely have anything there except burger/fries/apple pie

    Maybe I'm just lucky! :)

I was an assistant manager during the "Birthday BigMac" fiasco, it was appalling to work. We were totally underprepared for the amount of business generated (due to Head Office's silly predictions of a 10-20% take up of the offer). I was physically assaulted in a petrol station whilst wearing my uniform on the way home from working a 14 hr shift as the person concerned had been given a voucher for a big mac on another day due to low stocks. Our store did have to close for 2 days (which I was forced to call my days off for that week despite having been scheduled other days off) due to lack of stock we ran out of everything and I mean everything. The suppliers couldn't keep up and our group of restaurants ended up sending for stock from France!!

The 1st Saturday night we had a drunken rugby team come into the restaurant or a Big Mac eating competition, they started at 9pm and 3 were still going strong at 10.45pm they tied up 2 members of staff coooking BigMacs for them for the entire time they were there.

They kept going to the supermarket over the road to buy alcohol despite telling them not to drink instore what was I to do as a 9stone 23 yr woman?? Several parents complained but again what could I do? Physically throw them out?? People didn't seem to understand that though. We tried calling the police who were supremely disinterested.

It was a horrendous experience for all staff concerned.
  • I think that most rational people would accept that although generally it's the front-line workers that get it in the neck, problems like that are usually due to a poor/inexperienced management team

i'm in the midlands. we pay £1.88 for macs, quarters, chicken sandwiches, filets etc. and a medium meal is £3.29, 30p extra if you have milkshake with it.

double cheese and bacon cheese are 99p, cheesburgers 79 and hamburgers 69.

do some of you pay more than that? that's scandalous! i thought mcd's charged the same price everywhere!

it's always till staff everywhere who get stick from people too dim to realise that the staff have very little control. i just smile sweetly and say i'm just the monkey, you need to speak to the organ grinder lol!
