seller refusing to sell item HELP

hi - posting on behalf of a friend.

She bidded on a pram, and won it for £62. She contacted seller for address as it was collection only and seller has now said they wanted £75 for the pram and will not be selling it for £62.00 - friend asked why they had not put a reserve on it and seller said "i didnt know i could put a reserve on it" my friend went to support centre and was told that seller has to sell it for £62, friensaidd went back and told seller who said "all ebay will tell you to do is neg me"

Seller has now relisted item.

Have reported it to ebay but is there anything else we can do?

Thanks

Me x

    ahh thats pants lol
  • Even if the seller genuinely didn't know about reserves (which nobody uses anyway), they still decided what the minimum bid was going to be, Ebay doesn't roll dice and list items at random prices.

It's unfortunate your friend has wasted their time, it's worth advising them to leave a negative feedback but just state the facts rather than reacting angrily - let other buyers see what this seller is at.
  • Nothing you can do, but neg. This happened with a seller i bought from, however i was the 2nd buyer of the item. They'd put the item at buy it now, with best offer, the buyer before me put in a best offer and it was accepted, however the seller then claimed her boyfriend accepted the best offer and she didn't want to sell it for that price, so she relisted it at which i then bought it.

The 1st buyer left her a neg for it and thats all they could do. At the time i bought it, i didn't go through and read her neg feedback, i just casually looked at her % score and how many she had in a 6mth period, so wasn't aware of her not completing the sale of my item i had bought before hand.

I felt a bit guilty that i got an item over a person who should of really got it, but nothing could be done about it as she wasn't the least bit concerned about getting neg feedback as she completed the sale for a higher price that i ended up paying.
