Netherlands Postal Service - Where to track?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice i sent a parcel to an address in the Netherlands and sent it by AirMail and signed for. Now this was sent on the 18/10 and i tracked it a few days later and it said it left the Uk to the NL postal service.

Now the buyer has contacted me a few times asking where it is etc and i have given the tracking number to them and they emailed again saying its still not arrived so i would like to track the parcel but cannot find the website for the Netherlands postal service.

anyone care to offer advice, also how many days can it be claimed as lost for an Airmal package?

Just be aware that neither Airsure or International signed for guarantee a signature on delivery anymore. International signed for doesn't even say it will track overseas once it leaves the UK.

Also both of course are considered standard post for compensation so you still only have the standard £39 of compensation in case of loss unless you have paid extra for insurance.

Anecdotal evidence from various boards and even the community boards suggests you may struggle with your claim as RM can track the item until it leaves their hands. This is one reason I do not use tracking overseas as RM cannot use that as an excuse to refuse a payout.

However, hopefully someone else will have some idea where this can be tracked. A claim can be started with RM after 20 working days and cna take up to 3 months to pay out , but of course your buyer will need refunding much earlier than that. Out of interest how much was the item?

It was only £16 but then postage was £9, this is the first time in a very long time i have shipped outside the UK. And the buyer bought it then asked for shipping to NL. I know i should have refunded but gave here a quote for £10 p+p and she agreed.

Phoned royal mail and they said put a form in and if they cannot track it i should get the money back
