Trust Deed Discharge

Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help. I made my 36th payment in September and am just waiting my creditors to be paid and discharged. I know that this can take a few months....

Unfortunately I have just found out my car will not pass it's MOT and needs a few hundred pounds worth of welding aswell as the power steering has gone, corroded pipes :c( I am unsure what I can do, I need a car to get to and from work, I've been told that it is not worth spending that few hundred on my old banger (not that I have it anyway). Is there anything I can do to get a loan for a car? Even though I have not been discharged as yet.

The timing just sucks.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Shouldn't cause too much of a problem for you getting a car on HP, the fact that the loan would be secured against the car would mean the HP lenders would have less fear about the debt going delinquent.

There's nothing for this really except just to try to get the loan. You'll only know if you apply!

  • Thanks Charco, don't suppose you can recommend any HP companies? Guess you'll right, technically don't think I will be breaking my as it is over.

I couldn't. I wouldn't know one end of a loan company from another but if you ask around on some of the other borads you might get a good answer.

  • Hi,

Just thought I would let anyone know if they were in same situation as me (or similar, hopefully not!). I have been unable to get a loan from Creditplus, Carloans4U and Infinity Finance. Will not be applying for anymore as I am a little concerned about having lots of searches on my file (it is already a mess and don't want to add to it).

It seems that all these companies that advertise saying bad credit, ccj's etc that does not seem to be true, maybe this is because of the economic climate at the moment.

As for Guarantor loans, unfortunately my Mum does not have a good credit rating (who does now days?) and is retired, still a homeowner but do not think she will qualify as my guarantor, nice of her to offer though.
