A&L FPS not working today?

Anyone else having problems sending FPS from A&L today, I have been trying on and off for the least 4 hours and it says the service is not available? Sending to FD and Nationwide.

When I was in the A&L branch locally the cashier told me they weren't part of faster payments yet.

That's what I thought and I doubted what she told me but really couldn't be bothered disagreeing. Having said that I did send a £250 payment from an A&L online saver and it certainly wasn't sent as a FP.

I have 6 FPS transactions and 1 account to account transfer setup and I still cant get any of them to work I am getting "APOLOGIES. THIS SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE AT PRESENT. PLEASE TRY LATER." and have been since yesterday evening.

Not acceptable and very poor that they have no info about what the problem is and when it will be resolved.

Are you still getting this message? At what point in the transaction are you getting it?

Still a problem today with A&L faster payments. I called them (note they have a callback facility to avoid you waiting on the phone & I was called within 10 minutes). This is a "known problem". They did my faster payments for me on the phone very efficiently.

Did they happen to say anything about whether incoming FPs were working? Anyone else know?

Hello,
I've been having this problem on my A&L business account for a few days now.
I tried to set up a Standing Order and when it came to authorising it I got that 'Service unavailable. Please try later message.'

I also tried to pay money (by faster payments which works up to £250)
but got same message.
I can't update avaiable balance either.

Have messaged them twice but no reply.

I agree there should be some notice up on the home page or when you log in if this is a knoiwn and across the board problem.
I wondered if it was caused by the extra hits the recent £100 coming to an end would have created.

Would try ringing but I always fail the security check questions!!!!

Yes still happening, it happens when i try and authorise the payments.

I should have stated earlier that these are my business accounts.

Its not just Faster Payments with a problem.
