Newbie - what do I need to watch TV on my PC ?

Can anyone please post a link, or email what I need to buy to watch TV on my PC ? ( have a licence ! )
Is it possible, should really be my first question. . .

I am virtually IT illiterate so please explain in non-techie terms.

Some info re My PC:
win xp, win media player, intel pentium 4,1gb ram, 3.06ghz,140gb harddrive . . .

Many thanks in anticipation
Lee

thanks for answering my question too - I'm in the same position looking to watch freeview on our pc. Can you think of any drawbacks to buying this? Anyone here used one or something similar?

thanks in advance for your help and advice :)

Do you have to have a tv licence? I've often wondered about this myself!

With a TV card, yes, since it's picking up TV signals.

If you're on a compatible ISP, you could also try looking at http://www.bbc.co.uk/multicast/

Allows you to stream BBC and ITV from the internet, without the need for any special equipment

If the property where the p.c. is has a license then you're O.K.

Either from the portable aerial in the picture, or a normal TV aerial.
