Oooh! Just bought a lovely pair of spotty socks from Matalan for £2 so I can have a go!:j:j:j:j

By the way, what did you use to stuff yours with crazy_girl?

Theyre for kids so i used safety stuffing, it was £1.45 for a 200g bag (about teh size as a pillow) from a shop called Habiknit, i don't know if they're nationwide though? I think they also do it at Hobbycraft but it's more expensive i think.

There's definitely a Habiknit near me - will go check them out next weekend - thank you!!

I have just made one of these, will try to post a picture later, his legs are far too long as I used knee high socks (!) but DS1 (7) hasn't let go of it since I made him!!!

I've only just spotted this thread. DS2 was looking over my shoulder as I looked at the forum last night and asked if I could make him a sock monkey. This one would be ideal for DS1.

If only I had an ounce of sewing ability in my bones!

They are very cute. I was planning to try the glove dogs at Martha Stewarts website http://www.marthastewart.com/article/glove-animals but if I can't find suitable gloves then I'll maybe try a sock dog instead!
