Credit card mess, help

in Credit cards
I have Egg, Virgin, Marbles and Mint credit cards. Virgin have put up thier rate to 25.9%, just after I paid half my balance off. I also had a HSBC card but returned it. When I reapplied 6 months later, as they had a special balance transfer offer on, they refused me the card. When I queried this they said that I could have a card, but not with the special offer! I seem to be going nowhere with reducing my debt, total about £7,000, as Marbles have recently increased their rates too. I have a copy of my Credit Report and am worried about applying for another card in case I get refused and it makes my Credit Record worse. I am not on the Electoral Roll for personal reasons. Any advice gratefully received.

See if Virgin will offer you a balance transfer deal if you have spare limit with them? Then just keep plugging away at paying of your highest interest balance first.
Who do you bank with? Would they offer you a loan at a much cheaper rate?

You are not helping yourself by staying off the electoral roll. You know that there are two ways of being on it -- one of these ways enables you to retain your privacy yet proves your identity to credit card lenders. Doing this might well help you.0

How do you stay off the electoral role? theoretically you face of £1,000 if you don't return the updated forms you receive now and then from the council.0

Firstly stop using credit cards for any more purchases. For all your current cards prioritise them into the highest APR first. Is it possible to balance transfer onto your current cheaper cards? Allocate more of your money to pay off the most expensive debt first.0
