Although in the manual it says that it`s possible to turn off the firewall for the above wireless router I cannot find a way to do this.I prefer my own third party firewall.Any ideas please?

    Why on earth would you want to do that. If by third party, you mean a software firewall on the PC, use both, far safer..

    The hardware firewall and NAT is the best part of a router, bad stuff never gets anywhere near the PC.

    search for your router, and peer to peer client, and it should tell you how to get around that..
