Seems like you have about £400 - £500 a month to throw at your debt. If you can transfer the 20.9% card to a lower rate (other than a loan), then that money could start to make a difference fairly soon.

    Hi All,

Can anyone enlighten me as to what 'Bike Tax' is - Never heard of anyone around here (Liverpool) mentioning it or having it!

    Cheers

    Steve

Have you tried the snowballing technique? It will help you target your debts efficiently!

Can you take the money in your Lloyds TSB account and get rid of the Barclaycard once and for all? Then cancel the card!

my halifax card is 20.9% apr

Ring them and ask if they can give you a better rate the best they can do is 9.9% I think but they may do you a transfer deal at 6.9% as they keep sending me special cheques to do it with.
Barclaycard Credit card - £430.04 2.4k limit- 6.9% life of balance

How come it changed from 0% to 6.9 LOB and is the offer still open to new balances if so shift some Egg card over. talk to Halifax first see if they can give you a good offer.
