advice to help my mum on holiday

Hi all just needing some advice to make my mums holiday stress free shes not very clued up with banks and cards.. ive only just learned her how to use chip n pin , anyway shes away on holiday on 19th of this month for 28 days in Portugal, she currently just has a standard bank card with Halifax and a post office account... what card can she get quick & not ripped off for withdrawing her own money any advice welcome thanks in advance.

My sister goes abroad a lot & she only uses a Nationwide card & it's recommended by Martin.

What's the Post Offive Account? If it's one of those purple cards used to collect pensions then it's useless in Portugal. If it's a post office mastercard (sounds unlikely) then it's a very good way of buying things, not so good for getting cash.
Despite the Halifax being a 'card from hell', it can work out about the same cost as buying euros cash at the post office.0
