Ford ka: was advised to get some rubber things replaced, can't remember what they are
Hello everyone
My 18 year old daughter has a ford Ka she bought with her own earned money about a couple of months ago. When she changed two front tyres she was told that she needed to get some "bushes" changed. They aparently attach the car to the tyres and if they are worn it is an mot failure. So the tyreshop told us.
Anyway I am not too sure how to describe this to the garage, was a bit embarassed to describe it as the "tyre shop told us to bring it in to sort out rubber thingys"
oh dear i think bushes are green and leafy. Can anyone help please - what should i say to describe the job to the garage
.
I'd really appreciate any help, you have been most helpful with my earlier post this week abt my own car.
Best, A.

think there are some called void bushes???0

most likely front wishbone front or rear bushes ... some times its quicker to just change the whole arm ...
hope that helps :beer:22864 quid and counting , but now proud to be dealing with it :j

common one on a Ka is front wishbones as above its best to change the complete arm and do both sides.did my sisters last year.0

Front wishbones as said above, but when it comes round for its MOT take it to a Council run MOT centre, as they wont fail it on things like tyre/exhaust garages will...0
