Last November I had an insert in my Marie Claire magazine saying that in subscribers' interests they were no longer giving the free gifts with subscription magazines. So that means though I have paid for it until May I won't get any of the free gifts anymore! That is not within MY interest Marie Claire. I subscribed with IPC Media so maybe it depends on who you have subscribed with. I am writing a very sharp letter of complaint to them and I have cancelled my subscription which unfortunately I am contracted into until May though I have to cancel by the end of February of course! That's how they got me last time! They don't make it easy do they? I feel totally screwed! :-(

I think it sounds daft too! Its almost as if they've forgotten to include the subscribers with the party- mad as I'd have thought its the people who buy the mag that keep them going- maybe its a trial thing and they're waiting to see how if affects their subscription levels- at least thats the only thing I can think!

I'd demand to have my subscription ended early if I'd joined and then a few months down the line found out the sub people were not getting any free gifts! They may be free but I'd say they were actually part of the mag, I mean, its not like (the vast majority) of people go round taking the free gifts from the magazines is it? and if you were to do that, I'd imagine the security guard would have something to say about it!
