Amazon - Faulty Item Out of Stock

My 250GB PS3 Slim bought from Amazon has become faulty. The Blu-Ray drive is making horrible sounds. I'm still within the 30 day return period for a replacement but they don't have any in stock at the moment:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/..._ya_os_product
All they have of the 250GB PS3 Slim are packaged bundle deals.
What is Amazons replacement policy if the item that needs replacing is out of stock?
Will they collect the faulty item from me first and only send out a replacement once its back in stock or send me a replacement when its back in stock, charge it to my card, collect the faulty one and then refund the replacement once they have the faulty one back?
Will the replacement be covered by another 30 days of their return policy?
Thanks.

Send them a message and see what they say. Amazon customer service is very good. If the products faulty then the 30 days thing does not matter.Come on you Irons0

It'd be a good idea to ask Amazon rather than us.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
Go into your account and just follow the returns procedure, you print off a prepaid label and take it to the post office, amazon will refund when its received there end.0

Have you even asked Amazon yet? They may have some kept by or easily available for exchanges.
Also was it bought from Amazon themselves or from a seller on the Amazon marketplace?Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
