we're finally getting to grips with the catalogue of computer bugs and viruses on our poor old PC, and now the time has come to wave goodbye to zestyfind
ive done some googling, and symantec has listed a long and complicated sounding way of going into safemode, deleting registry keys, re-naming this and that..and im not entirely convinced in my ability to do it without ruining the PC, espcecially seeing as PC has all sorts of weird and wonderful hardware partitioning software on it
ive found one or two sites saying click here to remove zestyfind, and obviously i want to check they're kosher, rather than infect poor old bertha with any more nasties.
are any of you technical minding people familiar with spywareremove.com or parentlogics's XoftSpySE and am i safe to use their download to get rid of this very annoying piece of spyware
many thanks, P_d

Moreover, if you want to give your PC a thoroughly good spring clean go through the steps in the first 4 posts to this thread ....

On Look2Me I have never used that removal procedure but, as primeramikey says, majorgeeks is an excellent site so I have no doubt it should work. I use the L2M destroyer. If you want to try it this is the procedure ...
Download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to your desktop ...
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/28/
Close all windows before continuing.
Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 1 minute. Click OK (it can take up to five minutes)
When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer. Click OK.
Your computer will then shutdown.
Turn your computer back on and you should be clear.
If you still have any lingering troubles post them here and we'll see what more we can do.0 -
