Hi Guys,
I wounder if anyone could help me, I need to cut this registery board down to size to fit my chimney and also a hole in the middle for the flue to go into. How does one go about this?
I also need another access for the chimney sweep to get into.
I was unsure on how to actually cut it.
Also I was thinking of attaching 4 brackets for it to sit on, is this a good idea?
Thanks for your help.

when I did mine ... and im a sweep I first made a cardboard template.
Plumbed up where the flue would be, then transfer the measurements to the sheet steel and cut the hole out with a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade.
For extra access into the chimney for sweeping fit a soot box to the chimney breast that will give the sweep a place to clean from and a point to clean the top of the register plateYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Ive managed to cut it to size, with a jigsaw; but it was quite hard work, and i stayed off the given line a fair few times. luckly it fits. I have no idea how im going to cut the hole for the flue or the access for the sweep. any ideas?0

Mark out the hole size that you want. Drill a hole somewhere along the circumference and use the jigsaw again. Get a new blade or two for it first.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
always cut inside the line first, and then clean up with a file/s, to the line.Get some gorm.0

for the two circle holes drill holes around first then follow them around with a jigsaw0
