It would help people to give you advice if they knew where in the UK you were based.

Get several quotes from local corgi approved gas fitters
You can find a local installer by putting you post code in here

Better still if you have a friend who can recommend someone.

    Hi,
I have a Glowworm 28CXI - purchased from Mr Central Heating for £999 with 7 rads and 90m of copper pipping and TRV's.

THen I just got quotes from local plumbers who were happy to just to fit it.

You can buy boliers without and other extras - see there site:

If your looking specifically at boiler makes then Vaillant and Worcester Bosch are well respected.

I would also consider Alpha as the guarentee is longer than the above and they are also well thought of by a few of the pro plumbers on this board.

The two most respected makes of boiler seem to be Worcester Bosch and Vaillant.

We had a Worcester Bosch installed April 2005 and it's been perfect. If you go to the Worcester Bosch web site you can use their Find An Installer tool which will search for a locally trained and approved WB installer in your area. We did and the installer was friendly, very reasonably priced and did a fantastic job.
