Downlighter problem.

Hi.
Just installed some new downlighters in our lounge and hallway. They are Flameguard 12v LV units (50w light) fitted with Knightsbridge 20-60va transformers (one per light). They are wired in parallel with 1mm cable and the lights and transformers are each tapped off seperate 20 amp junction boxes. Both circuits are replacements for the pendants which were there before so no new cabling has been done from the rooms back to the MCB.
My problem is that in each room 1 particular light comes on about 5 seconds after all the others. We have exactly the same set up in our kitchen and landing and all those lights come on together. Before I start replacing bulbs and transformers, I thought I'd ask if anybody had any idea as to the cause of our mystery single delayed lights.
Cheers
Rob

There can sometimes be a delay, but this is often with a light has been wired so that the extra low voltage (12V) part of the cabling is too long ie the light is 'further away' than the others.
If it's only 1 light and they've been wired as you say, I'd check the connections first and then if no joy swap over the transformer and see if it's that..
