French channels on Freesat

I have tried to Google this, but I must be using the wrong search terms because I am getting nowhere.

I am trying to add any of the main French TV channels to my Freesat package. But a can't find a list of available channels and frequencies, or even what satellite my dish is likely to point at. Please can someone point me in the right direction or tell me what terminology I should be searching for.

Buy "what satellite" magazine, which always lists all the satellites in the sky with the channels on each, showing which ones are free to view and which ones are encrypted.
Otherwise look it up on https://www.lyngsat.com

Or go to any good independent (not Sky, not selling to French expatriates) satellite shop. They will advise you.

Here is what I've found out so far (in case someone else stumbles on this thread looking for answers)

Looks like the standard satellite for Great Britain is Astra 2D.

TV5 (Sky channel 805) is not included in Freesat

I could receive several channels if I had an FTA box rather than a Sky digibox.
