Haha - its not advice mate it's the law! The law states that unless they provide a valid agreement then you do not need to pay. This is clear in s.77-s.78 CCA1974.....
But you're right, it is worth following my advice - so long as you don't back down at the slightest hurdle - bottom line is your credit is already trashed so the worse that can happen is they default you. Other than that, nothing they can do. I can't stress that point enough.
As for worrying, mate - come on! Why worry, what will it achieve? Let them do whatever they want and if it ends up in court - GREAT! A free outing to fight your case (i'll even come and do it for you lol - please, let me!); you have the letters you sent, proof they were delivered and the lenders responses.....
This is all you need to convince a judge that you're only following basic consumer laws and are constantly met by lenders unwilling to help. So the only way you could get them to listen was by refusing payment.

Mate, can you really imagine the lenders wanting me in court? If they knew who I was in relation to this forum then they'd wimp right out! Kinda like Fermi, he's !!!!!! hot on this as well, and if it ever went to court i'd love to let us pair spend a day fighting them - in fact we should have attended the 12 test cases and argued the consumer case against the lenders :rotfl: :rotfl:
Did I tell you that one bank reads this forum, they also know who I am lol (only found out recently).....
Ever unsure of an act or process, Fermi is your man - he's like a walking legal guardian and helped me with a few sticky legalities in the past and hopefully, the future as well:D

Want proof of that question mate? Read it and weep (or laugh lol)Debt collectors are planning ways to hit back against online consumer forums allowing people to share advice about dealing with debt problems and taking on financial institutions.
